Teenagers and Car Repairs, Oh My!

This should be interesting. What to blog? A Mom of special needs teenagers, working part time and going to school part time.

I guess the biggest news is that our "new to us" van is in the shop. The bottom line is not pretty. $767.00. A cracked radiator and a new radiator fan relay. When I went to pick Scott up last Friday, it over-heated and blew radiator fluid and steam everywhere. I guess that's when it cracked the radiator.

The kids are miracuously at Mutual. They had to get rides. The YW leaders are great and will stretch that no leaders will give rides rule. The Young Men, well, I had to get a friend who has a son the age of Jerald take them. I hate to bother her. She has kids with special needs--more serious than mine, and her worst off one now has physical problems...messy ones. Poor gal.

Today was the kids second day back from Spring Break. They've settle down somewhat, but they were still kind of wild. You'd think they wouldn't be so excited to go back to school. Mean old Mom made em clean their rooms and help get ready for Health and Safety inspection from Campus Housing. They're still not done and not happy about it.

Ah, well, off to figure out where to find that kind of money to pay for the repairs.
